Period Pains

I have always had really bad periods. I normally feel light headed, bloated, tired and my overall energy levels go down, about a week before my period starts. Day 1-3 of my period I am normally feeling bad cramps, moody, low depressed feeling and I sometimes get sickness and diarrhea.
Last month, when I found out that my IVF was not able to go ahead because of a thickened uterus lining, I decided I would do some research. I have been waiting for my date to get my hysteroscopy, so they can investigate further. In the meantime I have decided to see if diet can help reduce the uterus lining. In attempting to do this, I have cut out dairy and increased my vegetable intake. I have also increased my fibre. You can read more about my diet plan on this blog.
I will not know if my diet has helped my uterus lining, until I go for my scan. However so far I can tell you, I have felt much better. My skin has improved, my mood has lifted, my energy levels have raised. I was intrigued to see what my next period would be like. Well It has now been, so I can fill you in.
I normally have a week lead up to my period, with light cramps, tiredness, mood swings ect. This month I had none of that. I did however have a very light bleed for two days and then my period started fully. Day 1 - 3 of my period has been really heavy and I have had really bad cramps. This morning I woke at 4am and didn't really get back to sleep at all. I was on the toilet with really bad cramps and diarrhea. I felt so sick, but luckily I wasn't sick. This lasted for about 2-3 hours. It was so horrible. I was in so much pain screaming and crying. It felt so good once it had passed!
I'm hoping that this heavy period is a good thing? Maybe it means more of my lining has come away this month, causing it to get thinner? This is what I hope. I welcome any feedback or advice anyone may have.
